Spotify Impact Hub

2023

Impact by Spotify is a website dedicated to sharing Spotify's suite of podcasts that cover and explore issues critical for our society's wellbeing; things like environmental collapse, missing persons, human rights, and more.

This site was built by me and another developer with the NEXT.js framework and with Contentful CMS. We used Vercel for our staging platform and helped set up Spotify's Google Cloud Platform (GCP, Cloud Build) production services.

Includes collaboration with client support + design team.

The New School: A Day in the Life

2022

Starting college is a hectic time for young people, and starting at the New School, a university in the heart of New York City, certainly lends itself to even more excitement. How does one take the subway to class? What about grabbing coffee and bagels on the go? Or accessing the hundreds of galleries and educational services across the city? This website aims to answer all of the questions new students might have, and it does so with excellent design, animations, and more.

This web experience was halfway done when I joined in, but I still helped build a quarter of the front-end's modules, animations, and other aspects of the website. We built this with NEXT.js and Sanity CMS.

New York Times Advertising Hub

2022

The New York Times is a massive media ecosystem spanning magazine, print, digital, and more. Given all of these options, determining how to advertise with NYT can be tricky. The Advertising Hub provides a one-stop-shop for browsing all of the advertising options, sizes, plans, and even gives information covering insights, previous partnership data, and more.

This website was built by myself and a handful of developers with NEXT.js and Sanity CMS. We leveraged Sanity's robust schema design to give our clients extremely flexible page-building abilities should their advertising offers ever change. We also introduced numerous animations and accurately brought our design team's vision to life.

MetaMask Learning Platform

2022

It's my steadfast belief that the crypto trading scene, and even web3 to a large degree, is an exploitative, misleading, and fraudulent mess. That being said, I got to help build a crypto "learning" platform that contains lessons on wallets, encryption, a crypto glossary, and other things that are basically extremely technical ways to lose a lot of real money.

We built this site with a handful of developers with NEXT.js and Contentful, and I do think the website has been updated (as of Nov '23), we built a heck of a large platform covering tons of material.

Hinge's NFAQ

2022

Most media concerning dating and dating advice is overwhelmingly about heterosexual and monogamous relationships. Hinge saw that and decided to get some awesome queer influencers together to answer an FAQ concerning all things queer dating.

This project was undoubtedly one of my favorites to work on. I joined the project later in its development, but my work on squashing hundreds of bugs and building last-minute front-end modules helped push the first version of this website out the door. Since then, the outpouring of appreciation has caused it to grow and evolve beyond anything Hinge initially expected. It was built with NEXT.js and Sanity CMS.

Samsung X Cyberpunk 2077 QLEDecode

2021

For the release of the long-awaited and massively hyped video game, Cyberpunk 2077, Samsung decided to strike a partnership and create a handful of uniquely branded Cyberpunk QLED televisions. These would be awarded to the winner of an online scavenger hunt, aka, an ARG. (alternate reality game) I was the lead designer of this ARG. I decided what social platforms would have what clues, I researched all of the encryption methods, created the puzzles, and stayed one step ahead (if only barely) of our voracious audience. Winner of the D&AD Graphite Pencil Award. Hit the link to see a video about the project.
